This Privacy Policy describes how Foster Health Technologies, Inc. ("Foster," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit fosterhealth.io (the "Site"), use the Foster Health Patient Sidebar Chrome extension (the "Extension"), or contact us. Foster's services to skilled nursing facilities are also governed by written customer agreements, including business associate agreements where required.
Protected health information
Please do not submit protected health information (PHI) or any resident information through this Site. The Site is not intended to collect PHI. Where Foster's services involve PHI, that information is received and handled under a business associate agreement with the customer facility, in accordance with HIPAA, and not through this website.
Chrome extension
The Extension is available only to authorized Foster users. It handles patient identifiers, health information, authentication information, the active PointClickCare patient and facility context, and product activity that is necessary to provide the Extension.
We use this information to authenticate users, match the active PointClickCare chart to the correct patient, display Foster alerts and opportunities, navigate to sections that the user selects, maintain security, and improve reliability.
The Extension stores temporary authentication and session information in Chrome storage. It does not store patient health information in Chrome storage or collect a general history of websites that the user visits. It sends data only through secure connections to Foster services.
We do not sell Extension user data or use it for advertising, credit decisions, lending, or purposes unrelated to the Extension. Our use and transfer of information received through Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Information we collect
Information you provide. When you submit our contact form or otherwise reach out, we collect the information you choose to share, such as your name, title, work email address, organization, number of buildings, and message.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect limited technical information when you visit, such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and referring pages. We may use cookies or similar technologies for essential site functionality and to understand how the Site is used.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about Foster's services
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Site
- To understand interest in our services and plan our offering
- To protect the security and integrity of the Site
- To comply with legal obligations
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with:

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and you may opt out of marketing communications at any time, by contacting us at the address below. Depending on where you live, including if you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, and we will honor valid requests as required.
Children
The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version here and update the date above. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
